A 3-piece band from South Shields who don't really know how to fit in and never really have. We're nearly rans. Hasn't beens. Success adjacent. We call our music "loser-rock" and that's essentially what it is, though our tongues may be in our cheeks as we say it. It might be more helpful to call it indie rock but that doesn't quite nail it in the same way.

Fittingly dubbed "Too Goth to be Punk; Too Punk to be Goth," Black Rain deliver a stark, unrelenting take on the classic sound. Their music stands as a defiant monolith, blending jagged post-punk edges with a modern urgency that channels the industrial grit and "Cold Dark Northern" heritage of their roots.

We love dark pop, white noise, and frustrating melodical headaches. Last time we made music a pandemic was unleashed; pray god has diminished us.

J. G. Winter is a pianist, drummer, composer, arranger and conductor from the North-East of England. His debut solo album, ‘Dance Palace Appeal’, was released on 30th November 2020, comprising jazzy soulful ballads, punching anthems and cinematic musical backdrops, painted on a canvas of decadent, sweeping horns and strings and a punching phat rhythm section.

Kirsty is a singer/songwriter/piano player based in North Tyneside creating alternative, ethereal sounds tinged with folk and country. Known for storytelling/poetic/political lyrics. Ideas of home, housing, domestic abuse, war, dystopias, inequality, family courts, motherhood and personal family history are all covered here.

Milne Glendinning Band is a Newcastle based trio featuring singer songwriter Debra Milne, the outstanding jazz guitarist Stephen Glendinning & bassist Michael Clark. Their original compositions are rooted in jazz, with folk, rock & pop influences. They are regulars at various north east venues, and this summer are performing at Berwick Fringe & Durham Fringe Festivals.

Nano Kino are Sarah Suri, Duncan Lloyd, Tom English & Phil Morgan. They came together to write after meeting through a mutual friend & discovering a shared love for the ‘Cocteau Twins’, ‘Women’, ‘Life Without Buildings’ and late 80’s house music. Nano Kino have steadily built their presence in the local music scene, supporting acts including Arab Strap, Miki Berenyi Trio and Field Music.

Radikal Queen performs spoken blues for a new beat generation, weaving poetry, song, storytelling and theatre into work that is musically rich, politically sharp and deeply rooted in Black cultural traditions. Drawing on blues, funk, soul, jazz and African Futurist psychedelia, she creates performances that are as visually striking as they are sonically distinctive, often appearing in vibrant Ankara cloth, red dresses, gold adornments and vintage-inspired glamour.
